JOYEUX QUATORZE JUILLET!

Happy Bastille day. Today it's mandatory to watch the parade on the Champs Elysées as you sing the Marseillaise and wave the tricolor, take two hours for lunch, eat a dozen marennes with a bottle of Dom Perignon followed by three chocolate truffles. Then take the afternoon off, dab some Arpège behind your ear, go and see JULES et JIM, LA GRANDE ILLUSION, THE ILLUSIONIST and L'ARTISTE in a Chanel outfit and a pair of Céline shoes (especially if you're a guy).

Have some toast for dinner and go dancing at every bal musette in town with Hugo Becker, Eva Green, Jean Dujardin, Marion Cotillard and Pio Marmai.
Vive la France.

Sounds good to me! My son's girlfriend is French and she graduated yesterday so here family had to come over and spend Bastille Day in Manchester in the UK. Such bad timing!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I like yours too. I've been reading a few posts - very witty stuff!

I'm sure there was dancing and champagne swigging in the streets of Manchester yesterday, non?

Thanks for your visit, see you on your blog.
